Some recent comments from visitors to Edwinsford:
Just a quick note to say that we had a wonderful weekend in Upper Mews.
All very cosy with the log fire and the whisky we bought went down well after
a long walk. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I reckon our two labs lost a couple
of pounds in the process. Who needs Venice or Paris for a romantic weekend!
Thanks once again.

The weekend was lovely! Thanks for a great stay .... and
managing to arrange great weather too.
2/9/02 Siddiqi party of 20 in 3 cottages
We had a great week in Wales, it was a long time since I was in the Brecon
Beacons and will certainly come back again. The cottage was very good and we
might even consider a weekend later in the year when we can try the log fire.

We all loved the holiday. The weather was
great and the cottage cosy and spacious. Walking, castle visit, golf and beach
so we didn't mind the drizzle Friday. Thanks for letting Garden Cottage to us.
30/8/02 Eaton family & friends
Beautiful scenery and superb accommodation
topped off with brilliant weather. Plety of walks on and around the estate,
perfect for dogs
23/8/02 - Phillips party
It was my birthday and it was an excellent place to see it in. My first
time in Wales and I am love with the peaceful setting & stunning scenery.
Top place, lots of drinking, eating, games, really enjoyed it! Will definitely
be back - Thank you
9/6/02 - Lower Mews
A last minute decision to come and we have really enjoyed it - great walks
around the estate and further afield in the Brecon Beacons. Thank you so much
- we will definitely be back!

Well worth the journey. Had a great time, met nice people, had 2 good sewin
4 pounds +. Coming back in June for more. Seen otters, kites & buzzards
along the river - the dogs loved it. Here you can really unwind - what more
can I say?!
24/5/02 - Garden Cottage
Superb accommodation, lovely scenery, wildlife and walks. Friendly neighbours
and handyman. The roaring log fire was just the relaxation needed
10/5/02 - Lower Mews
After hearing so much about the cottage from my husband and
my son I just had to come and see what it was all about!! I was not disappointed,
its so cosy and such peaceful surroundings. Went on some lovely walks - perfect
place to recharge your batteries!! Lovely Welsh atmosphere

Fantastic cottage.Beautiful location. We had snow and sunshine
the whole week through. Lots of wildlife to be spotted. Thye cottage warms up
very quickly when the central heating is on. Great size rooms, most essentials
provided. Generally a big thumbs up from the "uraban crew".
New Year 2002 - Slatehill Cottage
Couldn't get a more relaxing weekend! Great to get away from the hustle
and bustle of London. Some lovely walks beside the river and up through the
hills although freezing cold - but great relief to thaw out in front of the
open log fire. The Lower Mews cottage was excellent. Would love to come back
one day

The 2001 Christmas party in the Lower Mews filled a whole page ending "See you next year!!" -
March 1st - 3rd 2002 - 6 Canadians, 1 Englishwoman, 1 Scotsman - no, not a dirty joke! They were were going to go to Snowdonia from us on the Sunday but decided to stay on at Edwinsford instead.
Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We only wish we had longer
to enjoy the walks and visit more local sites! We'll definitely be back. It
was lovely to get away from London and thoroughly enjoyed the peace & quiet
of the countryside. The Lower Mews was the perfect home from Home for the whole
clan!

Just a quick note to say thank you for our fabulous week in Slatehill Cottage.
We used it as a base for our house hunt and quite frankly it took the sheen
off anything we went to view. I cannot tell you how impressed we were with the
whole estate. It is simply stunning. The caretaker and keeper, Debbie and Steve
were wonderfull and their help and hospitality could
not be matched.
We did manage to find a property. A lovely cottage just outside Cardigan. We
only hope that contracts take a while to exchange so we can enjoy another week
in your Slatehill paradise.

One of the nicest cottages (Lower Mews) we have stayed in, peaceful, quiet
and lovely countryside. River very low and clear which made fishing challenging
but rewarding. Majority of fish caught in streamy runs, do not overlook them.
Best fish 4lbs 11oz - 15 sea trout caught.

We have had a lovely week in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Lower Mews
so comfortable. Matthew (15) caught his first sea trout on 27th May.

Excellent week, wonderful countryside, plenty of fish but not co-operating!
4/7/00
Nice to catch sea trout again.

We have all had a lovely week although weather tried to ruin it! We are
not fishermen but river walks were just as good. Accommodation is superb - so
much room - ideal for the children especially when it rains. All the people
we have met in Wales have been helpful and friendly.

Our weeks stay was very enjoyable as the weather was so beautiful - unfortunately
this was not good for the fishing during the day or misty nights. The accommodation
was great and very cosy. The beaches are lovely
like the rest of the
countryside.
25/8/00.
A lovely week - made the most of it. Fishing superb - hope to be back next
year.
29/9/00
A few wonderful days. Water conditions favourable and fishing was steady
- 5 sea trout and 1 ten pound salmon.
7/10/00
Absolutely beautiful cottage, warm and extremely cosy. Everybody is friendly
and our stay has been very relaxing.

Just a quick note to let you know what a wonderful time we all had at Slatehill,
the house is beautifully furnished, the view amazing, away from it all, we all
had a lovely weekend, very relaxing, we even saw the "easter bunny"!!
Thank you so very much and I am sure we will be back again in the future.
Thank you again.
