We will hold your provisional booking for 5 working days pending receipt of your completed booking form and deposit after receiving a telephone or email booking.

Deposit. The deposit required is half of the rental fee and 50% of the fishing cost plus £25 insurance per cottage and plus £7.50 per rod per week, the remainder being payable 6 weeks in advance of your holiday. If your booking is within 6 weeks of your holiday the full amount is required.

Booking conditions

Full payment for cottages and fishing is due 6 weeks prior to the start of the holiday, or at the time of booking if this is later. If the balance is not received by the appointed date, Edwinsford Cottages shall be entitled to cancel the booking and all deposits and payments already made shall be forfeited without prejudice to Edwinsford Cottages' right to claim for the balance of the price. If you cancel your booking (for reasons other than ill-health or accident - see above) you must immediately notify Edwinsford Cottages in writing. Edwinsford Cottages will refund 50% of the deposit paid per cottage per week when they are able to resell, provided that at least the full deposit has been paid. If full payment has been made a refund of 75% will be made if Edwinsford Cottages is able to resell.

Edwinsford Cottages does not accept any liability for loss of or damage to personal effects, baggage, motor cars or any other item belonging to the hirer or any other member of the hirer's party.

The hirer shall indemnify Edwinsford Cottages against against any damage or loss caused by the hirer or any other member of the hirer's party. Dogs shall be kept under strict control whether on the Edwinsford Estate or adjoining property.

The total number in the party shall not exceed 2 unless prior consent has been obtained. Edwinsford Cottages reserves the right to terminate the hire without notice and without refund for a breach of this clause.

The cottage may not be occupied before 4 p.m. on the hire start date unless prior permission has been obtained from Edwinsford Cottages. The cottage must be vacated by 10 a.m. and left in a clean condition. A charge will be made if additional cleaning is required.

Every effort is made to ensure that the cottage descriptions are correct in the current brochure. Edwinsford Cottages reserves the right to make modifications to the cottage specifications that may be considered necessary in the light of operating requirements. Where possible clients will be advised of any major changes before the commencement of their holiday.

SCHEDULE OF COMPENSATION

SCHEDULE
To cover repayments of deposit, advance payments and contractual charges for which an insured person is legally liable up to a maximum Sum Insured of £475 per week, relating solely to accommodation and advance payments for fishing (Maximum Sum Insured £200) subject to the appropriate premium having been paid, and which is not taken up due to:
a. Death, illness, quarantine, bodily injury or unemployment of Insured Persons.
b. Death, illness, quarantine, bodily injury of the wife, husband, parent, parents-in-law, child, sister, brother or close business associate of Insured Persons.
c. Outbreak of strike, riot, civil commotion after the date of booking which could not reasonably have been anticipated at the time of booking.
d. Being summoned for Jury Service and Witness Attendance in a Court in the United Kingdom.
e. Police requiring the presence of an Insured Person following burglary at home or place of business.
f. Adverse weather conditions after the date of booking accommodation which could not have reasonably been expected, which prevents the Insured Person from travelling to the booked accommodation.
g. An Insured Person's home becoming uninhabitable due to fire or flood.
h. A motoring accident on the outward journey which prevents an Insured Person from taking up any part of the pre-booked accommodation.
i. Should the Insured Person have to curtail a holiday period covered by this Insurance due to the specific reasons as stated above, Underwriters will indemnify the Insured for any irrecoverable payments made solely for accommodation (and fishing costs subject to the appropriate premium having been paid).

EXCLUSIONS
This Insurance does not cover claims directly or indirectly resulting from or consequent upon:
1. Winter sports, mountaineering (normally involving ropes and/or guides) sports tours and motor competitions.
2. Any recurring, chronic or continuing illness, disability or condition of Insured Person for which medical treatment or consultation has taken place during the 12 months immediately preceding the date of booking the holiday.
3. War and kindred risks.

CLAIMS PROCEDURE
Notice must be given to Edwinsford Cottages at least 48 hours before the proposed visit
